At the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Sahara Hospital, we provide personalized care to all women, young teenagers for the elderly. Our specialty is the provision of personalized total care with a multidisciplinary approach in a friendly atmosphere. 

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Sahara Hospital is managed by highly trained and experienced professionals, which includes four consultants and a team of round the clock Residents.

Obstetrics Services:

Childbirth does not just mean delivery of any baby. 

We aim at birth of healthy babies to healthy happy, well informed mothers, caring fathers, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. To achieve this, it is important to initiate care even before conception. Premarital & Preconception counseling is provided for the desirous couples. We have a specialized antenatal program for supervision of pregnant women from conception till delivery. 

High risk pregnancies need specialized care:

The obstetric wing works in close collaboration with a team of skilled neonatologists, physicians and intensivists, complimented by the well-equipped world class ICUs and sophisticated blood bank to manage high risk pregnancies. The facility of Electronic Fetal Monitoring is available to safely allow trial of vaginal delivery for the hi-risk babies.

Carefully planned Infrastructure by the department allows quick caesarean delivery in case of any urgency. Cases of cord prolapse and torrentially bleeding central placenta prevail have been successfully managed by our obstetric team.

Minimally invasive gynecology
Diagnostic & Operative Laparoscopy provides better cosmetic results, shorter hospital stay, lesser post-operative discomfort and faster return to work. We perform all major and minor laparoscopic procedures like adhesiolysis, ovarian cystectomy, LAVH, total laparoscopic hysterectomy etc. MTP & Contraception Services are also available. Diagnostic hysteroscopy, hysteroscopy retrieval of lost IUCD, polypectomy, tubal cannulation etc. are regularly performed by our skilled gynecologists using the latest world class equipment. 

No need to silently suffer urinary leaks
Women often feel that leaking urine is normal to happen beyond a certain age and has no cure. This is no longer true. The Uro-Gynecology Centre at Sahara Hospital offers facilities to deal with problems of lower urinary and genital tracts of females including stress urinary incontinence or leaks, recurrent urinary infections, abnormal urinary openings called fistulae in uretero-vaginal, vescico-vaginal or utero-vescical regions, besides the management of pelvic floor abnormalities.
